What affects your trade-in value

  • The model and generation: newer and Pro or Ultra models are worth more.
  • Storage: higher storage versions usually pay more than the base model shown here.
  • Condition: cracked screens, liquid damage and faults reduce the price but are still accepted.
  • Activation Lock: the device must be removed from your Apple ID or Samsung account. See our account removal guides.

Trade-in value FAQs

How much is my phone worth?

It depends on the model, its storage and its condition. The tables on this page show what we currently pay for every model we buy, from a working device in good condition down to a faulty one. Choose your model for an exact quote.

Why is a faulty device worth less?

A cracked screen, liquid damage or a fault that stops the device turning on has to be repaired before it can be reused, so the price reflects the repair cost. Faulty devices still have value, so they are worth selling rather than leaving in a drawer.

Does storage change the price?

Yes. The prices shown are for the base storage option, and higher storage versions are usually worth more. Pick your exact storage when you get a quote.

How often do these values change?

Trade-in values move with the second-hand market, especially when Apple or Samsung release new models. The date at the top of this page shows when prices were last updated.
